Our Ranches

Red River Ranches is a family-run cattle operation based in North Texas along the Red River. Our ranches span more than 3,000 acres, shaped by native grasses and spring-fed creeks that support both healthy cattle and a resilient landscape.

Carefully selected Wagyu genetics are paired with proven Angus cattle lines to produce beef defined by balance: refined marbling, clean flavor, and natural structure. Our Texas Wagyu program includes cattle with varying Wagyu influence, enabling us to prioritize eating quality without overcomplicating classifications. Every decision — from breeding to grazing to finishing — is guided by long-term land health, animal welfare, and consistency of outcome.

Pasture Raised,
Finished with Intention

Our guiding principles are simple — conservation of the land, responsible stewardship of cattle, and respect for the broader ecosystem. We manage our pastures with intention, prioritizing balance over output and long-term land health over short-term gains.

Our cattle are pasture-raised before transitioning to a carefully managed ranch finishing program. They are finished by hand using a premium Wagyu-specific ration, supporting balanced marbling, clean richness, and depth of flavor that reflects how the animal was raised.

Red River Ranches is not about scale or shortcuts. It is about discipline, patience, and a commitment to producing exceptional Texas beef while leaving the land better than we found it.

When you choose Red River Ranches, you are choosing beef rooted in balance, guided by stewardship, and raised with purpose.

Raised With Intention

How We Raise Our Cattle

Pastured.

Born and raised on North Texas pasture. Our cattle live on the same ranchland from birth to harvest.

Grain-Finished.

Slowly transitioned to a high-quality grain ration in their final months — the patient finish that develops Wagyu's signature marbling and flavor.

Clean.

No added hormones, no antibiotics, no growth promotants — ever. Any animal that requires treatment is tagged, removed from the program, and never sold as our beef.

Whole Carcass

$8.75 per lb take-home weight

Typical total: $4,800 – $5,300  ·  USDA inspected  ·  Processing & delivery included

A whole carcass represents the full allocation of a single Red River Ranches Texas Wagyu animal, providing access to the complete range of cuts from premium steaks to everyday ground beef.

Final price is determined by actual take-home weight — the packaged beef you receive after cutting and trimming, not hanging or carcass weight.

Typical take-home weight: 550–600 lbs of packaged, freezer-ready beef

Included: USDA-inspected processing, cut to your specification, vacuum sealed and frozen. Delivered in the DFW area.

Deposit: $1,000 reserves your animal. Balance due once take-home weight is confirmed.

Intended For

  • Families who cook regularly at home
  • Buyers splitting with friends or family
  • Customers seeking the best overall value per pound
  • Those who want the full range of cuts from a single animal

The Commitment +

Purchasing a whole allocation means reserving an ownership interest in a specific animal prior to harvest.

Because each animal is unique, weight and final yield vary slightly. Buyers should be comfortable with natural variation and planning for freezer storage, processing selections, and timing.

Our team guides customers through each step.

What You Can Expect +

A Whole allocation typically breaks down as follows:

  • ~35% Steaks — Ribeye, New York Strip, Filet, Sirloin, and more
  • ~25% Specialty Cuts — Brisket, short ribs, stew meat, flank, and roasts
  • ~40% Ground Beef — Individually packaged Wagyu ground beef

Exact distribution varies by animal and your cut sheet selections.

Process Overview +

Whole carcass availability is managed on a limited, seasonal basis.

  • Allocation Planning — We match you with an upcoming harvest when availability allows.
  • Processing Coordination — Cut preferences and handling details are finalized.
